Forensic Radiologist
It is common for many people to have had an X-ray taken at some point during their lifetime. The comparison of ante-mortem and post-mortem radiographs can be made by a pathologist or preferably a radiologist. If available, a radiograph of the skull may be of particular value due to distinguishing features and individual nature of the maxillary sinus patterns. Any radiographs concerning injuries or unique traits may be of value in the identification of the individual (Dix and Graham, 2000).
